Our Story

KIN Kendamas started with two friends and one wooden toy. Jan Siewert and Matias Mateo fell in love with kendama and everything that comes with it: the focus, the creativity, the community and that unbeatable feeling of landing a trick after hours of practice.

There was no business plan. Just long sessions, a lot of motivation and one goal: bring kendama to more people, starting in Belgium, where hardly anyone knew the game yet.

Building our own kendamas

The more we played, the clearer it became what we wanted from a kendama: great balance, a paint that grips, clean shapes and a price that lets anyone start. That is why we created KIN Kendamas. From the beginner-friendly BASE series to the PRIME series, our PEAK kens and collabs like KIN x HIGGS, every kendama is tested by our own team in real sessions.

An international team

Some of the players we met progressed so fast that they now compete on the international stage. Today our sponsored team athletes come from Belgium, the Czech Republic and beyond. They represent KIN at competitions like the European Kendama Championship, at events and online, and show what our kendamas are made for: real sessions, real tricks, real progress.
