Step by step
How to swap your tama
Changing your tama takes a few minutes and completely changes the look and feel of your setup.

Step 1: Remove the old tama
Untie the knot inside your current tama or cut the string just below it, then pull the string out of the tama.
Tip: Good moment to check your string. If it looks frayed, replace it too.

Step 2: Thread the new tama
Feed the string through the hole of your new tama. Add a bead or bearing if you use one.

Step 3: Tie a knot and pull it in
Tie a thick, secure knot and carefully pull it back into the tama. Check that the string length feels right before your first trick.
